Your Invitation — The Online Headquarters for Leaders of Well-Being Communities.
Warning: This was not written for 99% of the population.
--
Congratulations. Someone has sent you the invitation. You will not find this on the public internet 🤫
This was written for you if you are a tribe leader, community creator, or well-being leader.
You lead a humanistic community, defined by its purpose to advance the well-being, health, consciousness, or performance of its members.
You are committed to mastering community leadership and shared experience design.
You see community-building as an un-automatable skill that increases your social impact, financial security, and sense of meaning and belonging.
And you know that the ability to envision, engineer, and lead communities is an invaluable skill in the 21st century, and will become even more valuable as technology advances and mental health worsens further…
So if this describes you, get ready to dream with me.
☁ — The Party Scientist
Here is my strongest belief.
I believe human connection is the antidote to all disease and suffering in western culture. Extreme, hey? After completing my pharmacology degree, I learnt that it wasn’t extreme at all. It’s all backed up by research.
So I have dedicated my life to building thriving communities and leading communal celebrations across 12 different countries, within Fortune 500 companies, and for spectacles with 1000’s of guests. On Planet Earth, I am known as The Party Scientist.
What a journey it has been… In February, I was leading ecstatic celebrations on the main stages of internationally-renowned well-being festivals. Then…
Then, COVID hit. My entire year’s plans were cancelled. My performance at the Best Music Festival in North America by DJ Mag was cancelled. My team-building work with LUSH Cosmetics was put on hold. My start line activation for 20 000 runners for the Vancouver Marathon, gone…
My career in designing and facilitating shared health experiences had been taking off. But all of the sudden, the future of face-to-face human connection was uncertain, and the future of my career was uncertain.
As I witnessed the digitization of everything, I grimaced at the prospect of communities migrating online. There was so much that was being lost. I resented it. The world does not need more screen time!
But I have since switched ON my optimism. I have become a believer in the power of technologies and screens.
I have learnt that we can use them responsibly. We can use them to restore the quality of community that existed before COVID, and even more so, before the rise of materialism and social media.
I’m talking before the advent of email. Before workaholism became the norm. When you knew your neighbours, when you looked at people on the street, when you struck up conversations on your commute, and when you celebrated life with your family and peers. Before we were programmed to define a good life by individual success instead of community success.
The communities of the past revolved around trust, altruism, and well-being. They were humanistic. Today, the majority of communities revolve around brands, consumption, and personal gain. Humanistic communities are being threatened by the ongoing digitization and deprioritization of meaningful human connection.
For the last two months, I have been investigating the science of online communities, devouring reports, such as the Post-Social Media Community, writing about community infrastructure, and signing up for hundreds of forums, Slacks, and Discords.
During this journey, I have been dreaming.
Dreaming about creating a global community of community professionals who believe that the future of humanistic communities is not grim… who believe in using the power of online platforms to restore meaningful communities in western culture… who believe in a pretty crazy vision.
The vision is a culture where face-to-face connection is prescribed by doctors more often than antidepressants.
And why do I believe in this vision, you may ask?
Because strong social relationships are the greatest predictor of longevity. Meaningful social connection is literally the antidote to the mental health epidemic raging in the western world. Meta-analyses, positive psychology studies and the renowned Harvard Study on Adult Development have all shown us that social relationships are more important to our health than our diet or exercise could ever be.
“the influence of social relationships on the risk of death are comparable with well-established risk factors for mortality such as smoking and alcohol consumption and exceed the influence of other risk factors such as physical inactivity and obesity.”
— Holt Lunstad et. al., Social Relationships and Mortality Risk: A Meta-analytic Review
The research goes deeper…
Surprising, isn’t it? This is why I am dreaming of creating a new culture.
A culture where people socialize vibrantly with others instead of tuning out to Netflix. A culture where people share peak experiences with people who are actually there instead of being consumed by distractions and notifications. A culture where we try to understand each other instead of cancelling and calling each other out.
In researching the power of online communities to cultivate humanistic communities, I have switched my focus. There’s no use waiting any longer for the internet (or COVID) to go away. I must play the game to change the game.
So, this is my plan for reviving humanistic community life in western culture. Ready?
In 2021… 20 experienced community leaders and I will open applications to a new community.
The League of Revyvers
An online headquarters for leaders of humanistic communities, who are commited to mastering community leadership and experience design, growing thriving well-being businesses, and amplifying their social impact.

I want you to propel this movement by joining our League and growing your thriving well-being community.

You will develop en-couraging, purpose-driven relationships with passionate leaders of humanistic communities, who you would not have found otherwise. Here’s a few of the leaders who joined the Founding Team 🌍
Peter Sharp, CEO of The Liberators International
Peter Sharp is a “professional paradigm shifter”. Fiercely optimistic, he designs social experiments and global movements for peace that bend the rules of fear and challenge the modus operandi of community empowerment and flash mobs. One of his projects include the The World’s Biggest Eye Contact experiment which involved 100,000 participants from over 156 cities sharing a minute of eye contact with strangers.
Adam Wilder, CEO of Togetherness
Over the last 15 years Adam has been exploring sexuality, performance, ritual, theatre, relationships and brings diverse experience to his work. In 2012 he started Shhh Dating — a speed dating company where talking is replaced by eye gazing and non-verbal connection games. His performance work led him to create Clowning in Nature with Philip Burgers.
Kimberly Wiefling, Global Consultant, Silicon Valley Alliance
Kimberly enables leaders to avoid or fix the most common causes of failure in global teams, problems that damage or destroy companies, along with $Bs in shareholder value. A physicist by education, she has found that many of these are “human” problems that don’t require “rocket science”. All that’s required to achieve significant positive impact in many cases is to make common sense into common PRACTICE.
Roxy Deniz Ozalp, Head of Community at Morning GloryVille
Morning Gloryville is a collective of sober ravers, responsible for bringing conscious clubbing to the world stage. They are a global movement and community dedicated to the wellbeing of humankind. Born in 2013, Morning Gloryville spread to over 20 cities worldwide with the mission of facilitating more connection, playfulness and dancing for everyone. Famously known for their inclusive dance floor where newborns, grandparents and everyone in between can belong and play together, MGV is changing lives one rave at a time.
Dr. Kevin Wishlove, Doctor, Lawyer, and Gatherer
Every week for multiple years, Dr. Wishlow has been creating peak experiences and personal growth experiences for Vancouverites. Kevin graduated from Law, had a midlife crisis, and came out of it as an Emergency Physician. A career professional at heart, Kevin has more than ten years of post-graduate education.
Mia Cosco, Entheogens Specialist and Branding Coach
Mia Cara Cosco is a holistic Wellness Branding Coach. By working closely with entrepreneurs on their online businesses, she grows their financial freedom through wealth building with wellbeing.
Jacques Martiquet, Experience Designer at ThePartyScientist.com

In March, he started hosting virtual joy experiences for Fortune 500 companies.

Beyond virtual sessions, the League features peer groups and lifestyle challenges. Together, we leverage the multiplier factor of peer relationships to become the best versions of ourselves.
Peer Multiplier Effect • Noun — The 300% amplification of effort toward learning a skill, reaching a goal, or sustaining a habit resulting from peer-to-peer accountability, en-couragement, feedback, and co-creation.
To go fast, go alone. To go far, go together.
Have you ever been challenged to embody your best self, show up more fully, or take care of yourself more? We do this daily.
So here are the questions I want you to ask yourself.
Do you believe community is the strongest lever for spreading human thriving?
Do you believe that the authenticity and vibrancy of your personal relationships is the strongest signal for a good life?
Do you believe that community is being lost and commodified, and is urgently requiring a restoration?
Are you alarmed by the decline of attention spans, the rise of screen time, and the prioritization of work over family and relationships?
Do you lead (or aspire to lead) a humanistic community? One centred on health, self-improvement, relationships, or spirituality.
If yes, then you belong with us.
Apply to become a Founding Revyver, try it out free for three months, and co-create this with me. Enliven your sense of purpose, belonging, and aliveness with community leaders who you aspire to be like.
And when there are thousands of Revyvers across the globe running their own vibrant communities, spreading human thriving, and living life to the fullest, we will look back on this moment.
We’ll say, “Do you remember when Jacques sent us that long-ass, preachy essay…” and then we will laugh. And we will thank god that we paid attention to positive psychology and realized that a good life rests on health and relationships.
At this point, we will have thousands of Revyvers who honour us as the creators of something great, who will regard us as the founders of a cultural movement that elevates the lives of many and promises to transform how the average human approaches their well-being.
It’s time to abandon the race, slow down, and re-evaluate western culture.
It’s time to look at how our ancestors lived: they lived in vibrant, face-to-face communities. Humanistic ones.
Let’s revive this way of life together, and reap the benefits.
I cannot do this alone.
Apply for free, then try it for three months, pay what you want.
